Book Reviews
A collection of books I've read over the years..
Project Hail Mary
by Andy Weir
The Library at Mount Char
by Scott Hawkins
Fantasy, Dark Fantasy, Lovecraftian Horror
It takes some time to get used to the unique writing style which Hawkins uses, to me it reads like a fever dream. It is a bizarre and brutal dark fantasy. After their god-like, abusive "Father" disappears, his dozen adopted children, each a master of a single, strange discipline, are thrown into a violent and clever competition to inherit his cosmic "Library" and control of all creation.
The Gone World
by Tom Sweterlitsch
Science Fiction, Horror, Lovecraftian Horror
A very intense blend of sci-fi, crime scene investigation, and cosmic horror. The Gone World is a brilliant complex thriller that spirals through time and space, delivering both intricate plot twists and a sense of melancholic dread. It's a dark, imaginative, and unforgettable read. A must read for fans of Lovecraftian horror.
